The Foundation – Cuff links

Not every one understands the power these four little holes in each cuff can possess, and yet these little darlings can cause a outfit that might be marginal at best… to something that just oozes confidence. You may not believe me, but I challenge you to try on a pair sometime. You’ll find yourself give them a little tug every few minutes just to make sure they are peaking out from underneath your suit coat!

This has an air of old hollywood style, when worn correctly. You may ask how cuff links could be worn incorrectly, well I’m glad you asked. Cuff links fit into two categories: Metal Cuff Links and Silk Knots.

There aren’t any other acceptable options, but even with only two types available their are still some hard rules to live by. The most important rule is this is not a place for cigar shaped, or any other silly/goofy shape that you are trying to use to ‘express your personality’! Nice try, that doesn’t fly here. The other rule to keep in mind is… you’re not Kanye… keep the bling to a healthy medium. We don’t need you trying to show the world you’ve got some cash, because you’re cuff is looks like a rappers neck. Keep it simple and classy and you’ll do great!

The Foundation – Shirts

The foundation of any man’s wardrobe is his shirt. It’s one of the building blocks of a successful image. When dressing for a successful business meeting, one’s shirt should always be crisp and white. I know not everyone will agree, and may want to diverge into another colour in the spectrum. But it must be noted that a crisp white dress shirt with a spread collar that actually fits you is key to dressing for success.

A white, English spread, dress shirt is a power shirt akin to a dark pin-stripe suit being considered a power suit. So wear it proud! Ohh and don’t forget. It must be ironed and starched. I personally prefer to iron at a high cotton heat with light starch. Non of this non-iron stuff, that’s not for suiting!

This is becoming one of my favorite brands, the SAKS Fifth Avenue house brand. Not only does it fit well, but it is quite affordable and cut just right for me. I purchase a 16 1/2, 36/37 slim fit and it wears like a glove. Take one for a test drive, you’ll like it!

The birth of a folicle

We are constantly growing and getting longer. But this is more about the growing than the getting longer. And we are growing. We are expanding. We are expanding our reach to ensure there’s never a hair out of place, no matter what place it’s in.

Hair like clothes is very personal. I get that, but their still are some rules to live by and I’m hoping to help you on your road to discovery about how to make these rules work for you! You see, anyone can have the hair (or a pleasing cranial shape) and the clothes but it’s all about how you wear it/them that make all the difference.

Our goal here is to get you MSH-Approved, whatever your style happens to be!
